Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pengembangan Masyarakat Indonesia (JPPMI) is owned and published by CV Media Publikasi Cendekia Indonesia.

Journal governance distinguishes institutional ownership and publishing operations from academic editorial decision-making. The publisher provides the organizational infrastructure required for journal operations, while editorial decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief and authorized editors.

CV Media Publikasi Cendekia Indonesia is responsible for the institutional and operational support of JPPMI as a scholarly journal dedicated to community engagement, community empowerment, and community development.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports the administration and continuity of journal operations, including:

  • Providing organizational and administrative support for journal operations.
  • Maintaining the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and journal website.
  • Supporting information security, technical maintenance, and backup procedures.
  • Supporting manuscript production, publication layout, and digital dissemination.
  • Supporting DOI registration, metadata management, and scholarly discoverability.
  • Maintaining transparent information concerning ownership, publication charges, copyright, licensing, and journal policies.
  • Supporting the preservation and continued availability of published journal content.
  • Respecting editorial independence and the authority of the Editor-in-Chief over individual manuscript decisions.

2. Editorial Management

The Editor-in-Chief leads the academic editorial process with the assistance of editors, editorial board members, and independent reviewers.

Editorial management is responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts for suitability within the journal's focus and scope.
  • Assigning qualified editors and independent reviewers.
  • Maintaining a fair, confidential, and academically rigorous peer-review process.
  • Evaluating reviewer recommendations and author revisions.
  • Making or confirming final editorial decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable publication ethics and editorial policies.
  • Managing authorship, conflict-of-interest, and research integrity concerns.
  • Addressing post-publication matters, including corrections and retractions when necessary.

3. Editorial Independence

JPPMI maintains a clear separation between publishing operations and academic editorial decisions.

The owner and publisher do not determine acceptance, revision, or rejection decisions for individual manuscripts. These decisions are based on the journal's scope, scholarly quality, ethical compliance, methodological transparency, reviewer assessments, and the relevance of reported community engagement outcomes.

Article Processing Charge payments, commercial interests, sponsorship, institutional relationships, and personal affiliations must not influence editorial decisions.

Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members or persons with relevant relationships to the publisher are handled by an independent editor without a significant conflict of interest.

  • New manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's OJS platform.
  • Editorial decisions and reviewer communications should be documented within the editorial workflow.
  • Official payment instructions, when applicable, must be communicated through authorized journal correspondence.
  • The editorial office must not request users to disclose their OJS account passwords.
  • Suspected fraudulent correspondence should be reported to the official editorial email.
