[IMPORTANT] Guidelines for Manuscript Revision

2025-11-18

Authors are required to submit two documents during the revision stage:
(1) a Revised Manuscript with all changes clearly marked in red font, and
(2) a Rebuttal Letter responding to every comment from reviewers and editors

1. Required Documents

Authors must upload the following:

1.1 Revised Manuscript

  • All revisions must be clearly indicated using red font.
  • Do not change the color of text that is not revised.
  • Avoid using “Track Changes” unless specifically requested by the editor.
  • File naming format:
    ManuscriptID_Revised_Date
    (e.g., SELEC-2025-032_Revised_18Nov2025.docx)

1.2 Rebuttal Letter (Response to Reviewers)

  • Must address each reviewer/editor comment one by one.
  • Authors should use polite, clear, and academically sound explanations.
  • File naming format:
    ManuscriptID_RebuttalLetter_Date

2. Format of the Revised Manuscript

2.1 Marking Revisions

  • All added sentences, modified wording, or structural changes must appear in red font.
  • Do not use highlighted text unless requested by the editor.
  • Avoid using strike-through text; simply revise and mark the updated version.

2.2 Updating References

  • Ensure all newly added citations are included in the reference list.
  • Follow the journal’s required citation style consistently (7th APA).

2.3 Consistency and Language Quality

  • Ensure all revisions align with the reviewer/editor suggestions.
  • Check grammar, spelling, academic tone, and terminology consistency.
  • Do not add unnecessary paragraphs that are unrelated to the reviewer’s suggestions.

3. Template of the Rebuttal Letter

You may download the template here

4. Revision Timeline

  • Minor revision: 5–10 days
  • Major revision: 7–15 days

If authors need more time, they must request an extension from the editorial team before the deadline.

5. Uploading Files to the OJS

Authors must:

  • Upload the Revised Manuscript.
  • Upload the Rebuttal Letter.
  • Add a brief note in the “Comments for Editor” field, confirming that the revision follows the journal’s guidelines.

6. Important Reminders for Authors

  • Revisions without red-font marking will be returned for correction.
  • Submissions without a rebuttal letter will not proceed to the next review stage.
  • All added references must be relevant and necessary, not merely to increase citation count.
  • Plagiarism or self-plagiarism will be handled according to the journal’s publication ethics.
